High Tea Sneak Peek and Giveaway!

Good morning, we are still bathed in sunshine but the humidity has been unbearable so I am spending most of the time indoors!

I'm here today with a sneak peek of a collection that is to be released on 19th July and it is perfect for me!
I am a tea lover and this chintzy very English set could have come across the Atlantic with us!

There are lots of components to the kit but today I just used the papers and stamp set.

I positioned the teapot and roses on my Tim Holtz stamp platform (which incidentally is on offer over at SumMore Fun) and inked them with memento ink. This image was then colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.
I then used 2 of the papers to mat and layer my 6x6 inch card base. The image on the bottom right corner is printed on the papers!!! A third paper was then cut into a border and added across the center of my card.
Using Versamark ink I inked the sentiment and then white embossed it. A white doily was then added to keep with the paper theme.
I added an action wobbler to my teapot and adhered this to the center of the doily. I have used this technique in a previous card - it allows the teapot to tip:

As well as a sneak peek I have a full kit of the High Tea to giveaway to one person who comments on this blog post.
The giveaway will be open until Saturday 20th July so if you like what you see please leave me a comment, you never know you could be the winner!

Thanks for stopping by, my teamies will be sharing their sneak peeks this week and the full kit will be revealed on the 19th July!

Some friends are one of a kind

Good Morning, the heat continues, the pool in the back yard is getting lots of use, from Mollie playing in it with her friends to us cooling off after work outs or just sitting in it to beat the heat.

My card today is a 'just because'  for a good friend. I don't have many friends but cherish the ones I do so when I'm trying out new stamps I love to send them to people who mean the most to me.

This card used the Snap dragon flower stamps from Altenew:

I stamped the image using Altenew inks, I love these layering stamps they are so quick to use and the effect they leave is amazing. Once I had stamped all the layers of the flower I then used a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Say it all friend. It has some great sentiments that say just what you need! The sentiment was stamped using Versafine ink as this leaves a really good crisp image for small sentiments.
I matted a 5x7 inch card base with black card and added my image topper. I didn't want anything to distract from the image and words so nothing else was added. I posted the card so am waiting to post this post for when I know it has been received.

Thanks for stopping by and if you like what you see please let me know in the comments.

Who Needs School

Good Afternoon, we have just celebrated the 4th July. Lots of food and fireworks! It is hot hot hot but the humidity is up there too so not nice to be outside through the day!

So good time to be inside coloring and with this week's Chibi new release from Scrapper's Delights there is so much to color!

I have used Graffiti Gill and made a scene with the great wall that is included along with some of the fab graffiti:

These are fab images for teenager cards. I colored the whole image with Copic markers and added Staedtler pens for detail. I then matted an 8x8 inch black card with lime green. I added some of the graffiti words to a piece of florescent orange card and added this to my base. I matted my image with the same lime green card and added this to my card base. Simple card as the image didn't need anything else.

Head on over to the Scrapper's Delights Store to see all of the new releases.

Here are just a few of them:

Cancer Zodiac

Good Afternoon! I have just come in after sitting in the yard sunning myself. First day of summer is a gorgeous sunny day - makes up for all the rain we've had this week.

Today is new release day at Scrapper's Delights and that means one thing - They have a VIP offer on with their new release. If you buy all 3 images you get a ton of zodiac images free! Check out the store for details

I loved the Cancer image so much I decided to blow it up and make a picture for Mollie's bedroom wall:

I printed the image large enough to fit on letter size card. I then colored this with Copic markers, Staedtler Triplus and a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen. I even colored the mirror to look like her image is reflecting in it!
The picture was cut to size to fit in the frame. I then glued a collection of shells Mollie had been given by a relative during our vacation in the UK onto the glass of the frame. I also added some pearls to tie in with the image.

So do you like what you see? Then head on over to Scrapper's Delights and but the new release - there are some fab images:

Pete The Artist

Good afternoon, and what a beautiful one it is - I've got air conditioning running as it was 70f at 6.30am!

It's new release time over at Scrapper's Delights and they have some great images for artists and school leavers

The image I have worked with is called Painter Pete so I had to make my design colorful:

I printed him on X-Press It card and colored him with Copic markers, he was then fussy cut and put to one side while I made up my card for him. I matted a 5x7 white card base with red card. I then cut a piece of water color card as my next layer.
Brushos were then sprinkled over this in yellow, blue, green and red. I misted the card with water and let the Brushos react which gave me the splattered effect. This was then left to dry before adding to my card base.
Pete was adhered to the card and my sentiment was typed up on my pc, matted with the red card and  added staggered on my card.

Painter Pete also has a female friend and there are 2 other Chibis images in the new release plus a bonus set of the Cancer star sign :

Aren't they just stinking cute!!!

Oh and here is a sneak peek of one of the July new releases, don't forget to keep a look out for these.

Rainbow Unicorn Chibi

Good afternoon, we have had nothing but rain this week but things are supposed to improve over the next few days.

Remember my sneak peek from last week? well today is the new release from Scrapper's Delights and what a cute one it is. The Chibis are adorable this time, meet Chibis Unicorn Blythe:

She is one of 3 new images today plus if you buy all 3 you get an exclusive zodiac bundle free. This week it's the cute Gemini twins.

As She is a unicorn I had to give her rainbow hair and lots of sparkle. I colored her with Copic markers and added sparkle pen to her horn the trim on her coat and boots and the stars. I used a die set that cuts shaped blanks and mats pulling the green from her hair. I layered my image and these up and added a die cut smile sentiment. Some green iridescent bubbles amongst the stars pulled the rainbow effect out more.

Take a look on the Scrapper's Delights blog at my teamies designs with this super cute images:

Wearing Spring

Good morning this is the first of 2 posts today both with cards I've designed using super cute images.

Meet Wearing Spring from The Paper Shelter who are this week's challenge sponsors over at Jo's Scrap Shack

Isn't she darling? I colored her using Copic Markers and fussy cut her using my scan and cut. I die cut a sunburst from both yellow and green card, the green waste was used to infill the yellow which were adhered to pink card and a white card base. I used foam squares on the image to give her dimension and added the word love in the same pink card used as a mat.

Taurus the Bull

Good morning, we are enjoying the sunshine and being able to have the doors and windows open is great. That said there is snow forecast for tomorrow!

There is a new release over at Scrapper's Delights today with some stunning images and of course great deals

My card is using the VIP bundle that you get if you buy the 3 new April Anime images:

Not only do you get the cute Taurus anime but you also get this adorable bull image. As always you have the jpeg and png files to work with, I have used 3 of the png images on my card as well as the sentiments that come with the sheets.
I colored the image with alcohol markers and fussy cut it and a brown card mat with my Scan N Cut.
I then printed out the sentiments (which are the traits of a Taurus)  on to white card then inked this with distress ink. This was matted onto the brown card and a white 5x7in card base.
My image topper was then added with foam tape.

You can find the rest of this month's new release images over on Scrapper's Delights online store for only £7.50 just look at them:

With Sympathy and Peacocks

We arrived back from vacation on Saturday night and promptly had around 8 inch of snow fall. Luckily it hasn't hung around and this week we should get some higher temperatures.

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack and the sponsor this week is Imagine That Digital Stamps. If you enter our challenge and are a lucky winner you receive a $12 coupon for their store.
I chose to use a the Pretty Peacocks digital stamp set which includes peacocks both with their tail displayed and gathered in, a lovely spray of flowers and some great sentiments:

My card uses the peacock with its tail closed up and I decided to make a sympathy card with it:

I used my graphics program to add the sentiment to the image, the peacock's bowed head went well with the sympathy wording. I then recolored the sentiment as it looked harsh in black against the detail of the bird. It was then printed out onto x-press it card.
Once I had colored the image with alcohol markers and colored pencils I added some sparkle to the tail to try and replicate the iridescence of the feathers.

I then matted a 5x7 inch card base with card that coordinated well with the colors I used in the image. My topper was then added along with some gems that I feel have a peacock coloring to them.

Now you've seen my inspiration why not enter yourself?
